Good shot of the man - Host Darrell Merrell taking a well deserved break on the last day of the festival, after months of exhausting preparation culminating in a weeklong flurry of frantic activity. Pic of pert, gamine-like Lisa Merrell smirking at something witty that Doug Urig said - He can be a very funny man. Lisa's capacity to explode into spontaneous heartfelt laughter makes her fun to be around.

On the left is the man - Darrell Merrell taking a well deserved break.
On the right in front is Doug Urig talking to a couple of visitors while to his left rear, the delightful Lisa Merrell is amused at something he said.

A great little Blue Grass band provided some welcome entertainment. There was also a gaelic band and some Indian flute music to soothe the savage crowd. Gowsala Savim

A few of the musicians who gave Saturday a festive atmosphere.
During the week, the lady on the right is Gowsala P. Savim, Ph. D., Lab Director, but on this Saturday she's just Gowsala out shopping.

Picture of Walt Lyons in his booth. Pic of Liv Lyons making a sale

The picture on the left is Walt Lyons of Yucca Ridge Farm with some of his very nice selection of gourmet goodies.
The picture on the right shows Walt's wife, Liv helping a customer. That's John F. Swenson, great Allium collector, on the left side of the pic.

Connie Cohea in the calm before the final storm. Pic of Bob Dunkel of the Garlic seed foundation in the blue t-shirt. I think that's Cassim Dunn, a grower-volunteer with his face hidden.

On the left, Connie Cohea takes a moment to check on a detail before opening.
In the right picture, getting ready for a full day on his feet, is Bob Dunkel of the Garlic Seed Foundation, a very necessary organization of people who grow garlic and love it.

Picture of Merridee setting up our display. Pic of me talking with a customer.

On the left is My wife, Merridee McClatchy, carefully laying out our display.
The person on the left in the picture on the right is me explaining something to a customer - I had to handcuff him and of course, his llegirons don't show in this picture.
